Our Story,
Roughly 20 or so years ago, a very close friend and fishing partner of mine by the name of Glen “Radio” Malcom, made his version of what we now call “Super Sauce,” and man was it hot! Later, I told Radio the sauce was good, but too hot for me, to which he replied “Well, you know how to make it, if you want somethin’ else go make you some.”
So, I got in the kitchen and started playing around with ingredients to tone the heat down, adding more sweet and a little more twang! It took me a few years or so until I got it right, or should I say “we.” My wife Gayla was my Super Sauce taste tester, because I tasted so many different variations- I didn’t know which was the best. Once we got it right, we made it two or three more times and wrote the sauce recipe down on paper. Starting out we made it only for family and friends. Although, once word spread, it became very popular and before you know it, we were cooking four-gallon batches every three weeks. Everyone kept telling me I should put it on the market and now here we are!
The name of the sauce comes from a good friend of mine. When I told him we were going to start bottling and selling our sauce he said, “that is super,” so, from there we decided to call it Super Sauce. We hope you enjoy the sauce as much as our friends & families do!
